Arrival by Public Transport
⚠️ Due to limited parking spaces around the hospital, we strongly recommend using public transport.
- From Essen Central Station (Hauptbahnhof): Take U17 subway in the direction of Margarethenhöhe and exit at “Holsterhauser Platz”.
- Tram lines 101 and 106: Stop directly at the main entrance (Hufelandstraße). These ring lines connect districts such as Borbeck and Altendorf with the hospital and central station.
- ➤ Line 101 runs clockwise
- ➤ Line 106 runs counterclockwise
- Bus lines 160 and 161: Stop near the main entrance at “Klinikum”. These lines connect areas like Borbeck and Stoppenberg.
- Taxi: A taxi stand is located next to the main entrance on Hufelandstraße. Alternatively, taxis can be ordered via the hospital gate: +49 201 723 2617.
- From Düsseldorf Airport (DUS): Take a train (e.g., S1 or RE1) to Essen Hauptbahnhof, then continue with U17 to the hospital.
